Higher Strength Than Pure Copper. Excellent Conductivity. Superior Thermal Stability.

Developed for modern cable and wire manufacturers, Senor CuSn0.3 combines the electrical performance of copper with enhanced mechanical strength, improved fatigue resistance, and superior high-temperature reliability for demanding electrical applications.

What is CuSn0.3 Copper Alloy ?

CuSn0.3 is a low-tin copper alloy containing approximately 0.3% tin with the balance copper. It is increasingly used by cable and wire manufacturers where improved mechanical and thermal performance is required without significantly compromising electrical conductivity. Compared to pure copper, CuSn0.3 offers:
      • Higher tensile strength
      • Better softening resistance
      • Improved fatigue life
      • Enhanced creep resistance
      • Superior performance at elevated temperatures

Why Manufacturers Choose CuSn0.3 Instead of Pure Copper

Pure copper offers the highest electrical conductivity, but its mechanical properties can become limiting in demanding applications. Challenges with pure copper include:
      • Lower tensile strength
      • Lower creep resistance
      • Lower fatigue resistance
      • Faster softening at elevated temperatures
The addition of a small amount of tin significantly improves these mechanical properties while maintaining high electrical conductivity, making CuSn0.3 an ideal solution for modern cable designs.

Designed for the Demands of Modern Cable Systems

Today’s electrical and cable industries face increasing performance requirements driven by:
      • Smaller conductor sizes
      • Higher operating temperatures
      • Increased vibration and mechanical stress
      • Weight reduction initiativesRapid growth of electric vehicle (EV) applications
      • Rapid growth of electric vehicle (EV) applications
These trends have accelerated the adoption of high-strength copper alloys such as CuSn0.3.

The Senor CuSn0.3 Advantage

Senor CuSn0.3 provides an excellent balance of:
      • Electrical conductivity
      • Mechanical strength
      • Processability
      • Cost-effectiveness
This balance makes it an attractive alternative to pure copper for a wide range of electrical and electronic applications.

Enhanced Recrystallization Resistance

A key advantage of CuSn0.3 is its improved recrystallization resistance. The addition of tin enables the alloy to retain its mechanical strength and dimensional stability at elevated temperatures significantly better than pure copper. This enhanced thermal stability is one of the alloy’s most important industrial advantages and makes it suitable for demanding applications where long-term performance is critical.
